0–10V RGB 3CH LED Controllers

0–10V / 1–10V RGB 3CH: analog multicolor control for RGB LEDs

Standard

0–10V / 1–10V RGB 3-channel controllers and drivers allow analog regulation of the red, green and blue channels via control voltage. In the 0–10V standard, 0 V typically corresponds to OFF (or minimum, depending on the driver), while in 1–10V (IEC 60929) 1 V is the guaranteed minimum level and 10 V the maximum brightness. Models are available with input 12/24/36/48 V DC and 110/220 VAC, with constant voltage (CV) or constant current (CC) outputs, as well as interfaces that generate or decode the 0–10V/1–10V signal to directly drive RGB LED loads via PWM.

System architecture

  • 0–10V / 1–10V RGB 3CH dimmers: compact or flush-mounted modules with three independent channels for R, G, B.
  • Compatible drivers: CV/CC versions with 12/24/36/48 V DC or 110/220 VAC input and 0–10V/1–10V control input.
  • Analog controllers: potentiometers/wall panels (502/503) or electronic modules with three 0–10V/1–10V outputs for R/G/B.
  • Integrated conversion: through modules ZigBee/0–10V, Bluetooth/0–10V, RF/0–10V, DALI/0–10V, wireless or digital commands can be translated into analog signals for wired systems.
  • Multiple connection: several drivers/decoders can share the same signal per channel (check available sink/source current and the sum of driver input currents).
  • Wiring: low-voltage signals on dedicated pairs for R/G/B; shielded cables recommended for long runs with proper grounding to reduce interference.

Advanced features

  • RGB color mixing: independent channel control to create dynamic color scenarios and smooth dimming transitions.
  • Simplicity and universality: widespread analog protocol, interoperable across brands.
  • Deep dimming <1%: smooth and stable regulation with quality drivers, flicker-free.
  • Sink/source modes: compatibility with devices that either absorb (sink) or supply (source) current on the control channel.
  • High-frequency PWM output: 250–500 Hz (entry), 1–4 kHz (mid), 8–16 kHz (high-end), also suitable for photo/video applications.
  • Stand-alone or integration: usable as an independent solution or integrable in hybrid systems via gateways to other protocols.
  • Efficiency and durability: dimming reduces consumption and thermal stress, ensuring a longer LED system lifetime.

Typical applications

  • Chromotherapy and relaxation: color palettes for emotional well-being.
  • Emotional shower: light color cycles combined with sound and aromas.
  • Residential: living areas, home theatres and decorative spaces with chromatic effects.
  • Hospitality: hotel lounges, lobbies, restaurants and common areas with multicolor scenarios.
  • Retail: shop windows, displays and promotional corners with dynamic light effects.
  • Creative offices/coworking: flexible spaces where colored light enhances branding and creativity.
  • Events and setups: fairs, temporary installations and small stage designs without digital bus.
