DMX LED Controllers – RGB 3CH
DMX RGB 3CH: digital multicolor control for RGB LEDs
Standard
DMX RGB 3-channel controllers and drivers allow the regulation of 3 RGB channels (red, green, blue) via the DMX512/RDM protocol. Models are available with input at 12/24/36/48 V DC and 110/220 VAC, with PWM outputs at constant voltage (CV) or constant current (100–1500 mA), as well as versions with phase-cut dimming 110/220 VAC. Thanks to RDM, devices can be configured and monitored remotely. Although designed for large scenographic and architectural systems, DMX RGB can also be used in small and medium installations with wired control.
System architecture
- DMX RGB decoders: compact or recessed modules with 3CH PWM outputs for RGB LEDs.
- Compatible drivers: CV/CC at 12/24/36/48 V DC or models with 110/220 VAC input; also available with phase-cut dimming.
- Wired controls: wall panels with touch or slider for RGB adjustment, installable in 502/503 boxes.
- DMX consoles/masters: management via professional consoles, DJ controllers, or PC software with Art-Net/sACN.
- Standard DMX cabling: transmission over shielded XLR 3/5-pin cable up to 300 m without repeaters.
- Wireless DMX: wireless transmission possible with coverage up to 200–300 m in open air.
- Multi-protocol compatibility: integration via DALI/DMX or RF/DMX gateways.
- Multi-zone topology: a wall panel or console can control multiple receivers in the same system.
Advanced features
- Digital precision: smooth, stable regulation even at low levels.
- Channel composition: Red, Green, Blue for full color mixing.
- Color palette: saturated colors and scenic dynamics.
- Deep dimming <1%: precise, flicker-free control for broadcast, cinema, photo/video.
- High-frequency PWM: 250–500 Hz (entry), 1–4 kHz (mid), 8–32 kHz (high-end), ideal for broadcast and slow-motion.
- RDM: remote addressing, configuration, and diagnostics.
- Modularity: multiple decoders on the same bus for scalable systems.
- Art-Net/sACN: Ethernet multi-universe with HTP/LTP merging for large projects.
- Longer lifetime: lower drive levels reduce heat and extend system life.
- Energy savings: lower consumption and reduced indirect CO₂ emissions.
- Efficiency/comfort: consumption reduction through optimized brightness scenarios.
