ZigBee Dimmer 1CH – Smart LED Drivers and Controllers
Wireless control for white or single-color LEDs
Standard
ZigBee 1-channel dimmers and drivers enable wireless brightness control via the ZigBee 3.0 protocol, the most widely adopted open standard for smart lighting and home automation. They are compatible with hubs and gateways from major ecosystems (Amazon Alexa, Google Home, Philips Hue, Tuya, etc.), allowing local and remote control via app or voice commands. Available versions include 12/24/36/48 V DC and 110/220 VAC input, with constant voltage (CV) or constant current (CC) outputs, as well as phase-cut dimming 110/220 VAC models and relay modules.
System architecture
- ZigBee 1CH dimmers: compact or flush-mounted modules for single-channel control.
- Compatible drivers: CV/CC versions with DC or AC input; relay modules also available.
- ZigBee hubs/gateways: required for integration with smart ecosystems (Hue, Tuya, SmartThings, etc.).
- Wireless controls: operation via mobile app, ZigBee wall panels, battery-powered buttons or remotes.
- ZigBee Push Button Couplers: allow the use of traditional push-buttons for local dimming management.
- Retrofit of non-dimmable luminaires: some ZigBee drivers with 110/220 VAC input and adjustable constant current output (100–1500 mA) make it possible to dim and control premium lamps/chandeliers via remotes, wall panels (502/503) or switches.
- Multiprotocol integration: conversion with ZigBee/DALI, ZigBee/0–10V, ZigBee/DMX for hybrid systems.
- Mesh topology: network with node-to-node routing, typical coverage of 50–70 m.
Advanced features
- Wireless control: no extra wiring required, local or remote cloud-based operation.
- Simplified pairing: via app (network inclusion) or Touch-Link mode (proximity between devices and pairing button on board).
- System modularity: easy expansion by adding drivers and control devices.
- Deep dimming <1%: smooth, stable regulation with quality drivers, flicker-free.
- Scenes and automation: scenes, timers, presence/brightness (if sensors are available in the ecosystem).
- Voice compatibility: works with Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant and Siri (through compatible hubs).
- High-frequency PWM: 250–500 Hz (entry), 1–4 kHz (mid), 8–16 kHz (high-end), suitable for photo/video.
- Green Power / energy harvesting: ZigBee 3.0 supports battery-free devices (e.g. kinetic energy switches) for sustainable commands and reduced maintenance.
- NFC programming: quick, customizable configuration for compatible drivers/dimmers.
- Visual comfort: adjustable brightness for relaxation, work, or decorative accents.
- Longer lifespan: lower operating levels reduce heat and extend LED life.
- Energy savings: optimized consumption with reduced indirect CO₂ emissions.
Typical applications
- Smart residential: living rooms, bedrooms, kitchens and hallways with app and voice control.
- Hospitality: hotels and B&Bs with centralized management and personalized lighting scenes.
- Retail: stores and showrooms with variable, automated lighting.
- Modern offices: open spaces and meeting rooms integrated into building automation systems.
- Wellness & SPA: relaxation areas with adjustable lighting scenarios.
