DMX LED Controllers – RGBW 4CH
DMX RGBW 4CH: digital RGB control with dedicated white channel
Standard
DMX RGBW 4-channel controllers and drivers digitally manage the three RGB color channels (red, green, blue) plus a dedicated white channel (W) via the DMX512/RDM protocol. Models are available with input at 12/24/36/48 V DC and 110/220 VAC, with PWM outputs at constant voltage (CV) or constant current (100–1500 mA), as well as versions with phase-cut dimming 110/220 VAC. The W channel ensures higher luminous power and a true white light compared to RGB alone, making the system suitable for both functional lighting and decorative effects. With RDM, devices can be configured and monitored remotely. Although designed for large scenographic and architectural projects, the DMX RGBW system can also be used in small and medium installations with wired control.
System architecture
- DMX RGBW decoders: compact or recessed modules with 4CH PWM outputs for RGBW LEDs.
- Compatible drivers: CV/CC at 12/24/36/48 V DC; versions with 110/220 VAC input and phase-cut dimming available.
- Wired controls: wall panels with touch/slider for RGBW management, installable in 502/503 boxes.
- DMX consoles/masters: management via professional consoles, DJ controllers, or PC software with Art-Net/sACN.
- Standard DMX cabling: shielded XLR 3/5-pin cable up to ~300 m without repeaters; extendable with splitters/boosters.
- Wireless DMX: wireless transmission with typical coverage of 200–300 m in open air.
- Multi-zone topology: a wall panel or console can control multiple receivers in the same installation.
- Multi-protocol compatibility: integration with existing systems via DALI/DMX or RF/DMX gateways.
Advanced features
- Digital precision: smooth, stable regulation even at low levels.
- Channel composition: RGB + dedicated White for real whites and higher brightness.
- Simulated “tunable” white: combine W with R/G/B for warmer/cooler variants.
- Deep dimming <1%: precise, flicker-free control for broadcast, cinema, photo/video.
- High-frequency PWM: 250–500 Hz (entry), 1–4 kHz (mid), 8–32 kHz (high-end), ideal for broadcast and slow-motion.
- RDM: remote addressing, configuration, and diagnostics.
- Modularity: multiple decoders on the same bus for scalable systems.
- Art-Net/sACN: Ethernet multi-universe with HTP/LTP merging for large projects.
- Longer lifetime: operating at lower levels reduces heat and extends life.
- Energy savings: lower consumption and reduced indirect CO₂ emissions.
- Efficiency/comfort: suitable for basic circadian cycles, chromotherapy, and emotional scenes.
Typical applications
- Circadian cycles + chromotherapy: studios, clinics, spas, wellness.
- Emotional showers: light/color sequences with sounds and scents.
- Premium residential: living rooms, kitchens, stairs, home theaters.
- Hospitality: hotels, lounges, restaurants, rooms.
- Retail: shop windows, displays, promotional corners.
- Events & stage: temporary setups, scenography.
- Outdoor architectural: facades and gardens with functional + chromatic mix.
Available types
- DMX RGBW 4CH: digital regulation of red, green, blue, and dedicated white channels for multicolor effects and true white light.
